Delicious Yellowtail Amberjack Sushi Recipe for Sushi Lovers

Sushi lovers rejoice! This Yellowtail Amberjack sushi recipe is a delicious and easy way to make sushi at home.

Ingredients:
- 1 lb Yellowtail Amberjack fillet, skin removed
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- Fresh Wasabi root or pre-grated authentic Japanese Wasabi
- Soy sauce
- Pickled ginger
- 4-6 sheets of Nori seaweed
- Bamboo sushi mat
Instructions:
- Rinse the sushi rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked.
- In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
- When the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and stir in the vinegar mixture.
- Let the rice cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
- Cut the Yellowtail Amberjack fillet into thin slices.
- Place a sheet of Nori on the bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down.
- Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, then grab a small handful of rice and spread it evenly over the Nori, leaving a small border at the top.
- Place a few slices of Yellowtail Amberjack on top of the rice.
- Add a small amount of wasabi paste and soy sauce to taste.
- Roll up the sushi, using the mat to help shape it into a tight cylinder.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Slice the sushi into bite-sized pieces and serve with pickled ginger and extra soy sauce.
