They "singing scallops" because they aren't naturally closed like other scallops. Sweet morsels that are pretty to look at, and even tastier to eat. These arrive to you still inside their beautiful pink shells. Sushi-grade. LIVE when they leave our warehouse! As fresh as can be.

1lb per order. Approximately 15-17 pieces per pound.

To prepare, steam them just like mussels and eat the whole meat inside. Or, shuck and serve raw with a squeeze of lime. These are so pristine that they can be eaten raw. They do not need to be cleaned from the muscle. All if it is edible!

Live pink scallops (and scallops in general) are supposed to have shells that are slightly open, but they should close tightly when tapped or touched. Unlike mussels, live scallops often gape slightly; however, if the shell stays open and does not react to touch, or smells off, it is dead and should be discarded.
