Tuber Aestivum- known as the cook's truffle- is the most common species of truffle and native to the United Kingdom. This truffle is regarded as the mildest of the truffle species. As opposed to the traditional use of truffles to sparingly enhance the flavor of a dish, the summer burgundy truffle should be cooked as any ordinary mushroom.
