Salty / Crunchy / Great for Salads
A unique and special plant with briny flavor and crunchy texture, often called sea asparagus. We like to blanch them in boiling water and then shock them in and ice bath to preserve their crisp and crunchy texture. Simply dress with your best olive oil and add a little lemon or vinegar and a couple grinds of black pepper. It's also delicious pickled (its also known as pickleweed in parts of the country) and used as a garnish for cocktails.
