Each 3 - 4 pound whole Ike Jime vermillion are locally-caught, and visually stunning, sunset-colored. These are as beautiful to look at as they are to eat. A great way to enjoy local seafood AND support our band of diehard, local Bay Area fisherman at the same time.
Ike jime is a superior method of fish-cutting that requires a skilled fishmonger. It preserves the freshly-caught nature of a fish by putting it through minimal stress when the fishmonger goes to prepare it.
This fish will arrive to you whole (fully cleaned / descaled / gutted but with the head on and in WHOLE format). Great for a whole steamed fish at home!
