Kona Limu

Sea Lettuce (Hawaiian) - 1/2 lb

$18

In ancient Hawaii, sea lettuce was often sun-dried and salted to preserve it for later
use in dishes or as a flavorful snack.  Today, its versatility shines in a variety of culinary
applications: fresh in salads, blended into smoothies, baked as crispy chips, or
incorporated into soups, sauces, and sautés.

Known for its vivid green color and culinary versatility, sea lettuce has long been an
important limu for Hawaiian culture and cuisine.

Beloved for its mild, vegetal flavor and delicate, leafy texture, sea lettuce is a
nutritional powerhouse.  It is rich in vitamin A and essential minerals.

Note: keep refrigerated for a shelf life of 5-10 days, ideally in a breathable container.  For
longer-term storage, sea lettuce can be dehydrated and stored indefinitely in an
airtight container.
