Pomelo - ea

One of the largest members of the citrus family, Pomelos are closely related to Grapefruit, but with a milder and sweeter flavor.  While Pomelos might at first look intimidating due to their larger size, Pomelos are super easy to prepare.  The majority of their size comes from the thick pith and membrane that surrounds the fruit. Interestingly, they are one of the few citrus varieties whos membrane is considered inedible. We love to make a pomelo salad with poached shrimp, cilantro, fried shallots, and a fish sauce vinaigrette!   Roughly 2.5 lbs each.
