With an intense lime aroma and unique appearance (hence the name), these little fruits are a real show stopper no matter how they are used. Known as "citrus caviar" the individual membranes in the fruit are round, rather than elongated and oval like most citrus. The membrane also tends to be quite hearty, so they can be separated and used as a beautiful garnish on raw oysters, crudos, or grilled fish. The fruit can also be sliced into halves or quarters and placed on a plate to allow the diner to scrape the little rounds out themself.
