We were homesick for Oregon autumn and were happy to get these foraged mushrooms from Four Star. Overall they were pretty nice quality, only had to throw out a couple of soggy ones. They did require quite a bit of cleaning to remove the pine needles but that's the way it goes with foraged forest goods. They made a delicious pasta sauce.
3 kind of mushrooms mixed and cooked with butter. Olive oil and wine. Lightly food processed. Mushroom crostini ! Flavorful and rich.
One of my fave mushrooms! So good as a tasty meat substitute in pastas, tacos.
